Ranking the TV We Watched in 2025
I recently posted a look back at the stats from the last year, and it was surprising how much less TV we watched in 2025. But when I look back and think on the year and remember that I was traveling a lot for work, then we moved cross-country, and now I’m in a new role, it’s less surprising. Oh, and let’s not forget we have a 1.5-year-old daughter who becomes more opinionated by the day.
The other thing I find interesting about our TV watching this year is that we watched a lot of 30-minute shows. Even though almost none of our top shows are 30-minute comedies, a lot of our nights are a quick show and then sleep.
Where We Watched in 2025
As the consolidation happens in Hollywood, so too does the streaming provider we watch shows on. The three-way split between Apple, HBO, and Disney feels right. We cancelled Netflix for a few months this year when we realized we weren’t using it at all. When Netflix finishes purchasing HBO I suppose this chart will be even smaller.
