Board Game Review: Monopoly Deal Card Game
Recently I discovered that people who consider themselves board game enthusiasts really look down upon Monopoly. They say its a bad game. I disagree and love Monopoly. However its a long game and getting Jenn to agree to play it more then once every couple of years is unlikely. However when at church, Pastor Kenton mentioned a Monopoly Card game I immediately (after the service of course) went on Amazon and purchased it.
Movie Review: Interstellar
I'm a big fan of Christopher Nolan's movies. I loved his entire Dark Knight trilogy and really enjoyed Inception. When I first saw the trailers for Interstellar I knew I was on board. So a couple weeks back not only did Jenn and I go see Interstellar but we decided for the first time in both of our lives to go see it in IMAX.
The Colbert Report Gets a Surprise Visit
As you probably know by now, Jenn and I love The Daily Show and The Colbert Report. They're vastly different shows but both make-up two staples in our household. They're a nightly ritual for us. When we found out in April that The Colbert Report was coming to an end in 2014 we were both devastated. Sadly the end of the line is coming soon and Colbert is not going out without a big send off.
Movie Review: Dumb and Dumber To
Ranking my favorite movies of all-time is a really hard thing to do. There are movies that I love today that I'm not sure I will love 5 or 10 years from now. One movie though that has remained in at least my Top 5 movies of all time is Dumb and Dumber. Its not a movie I watch often, its probably been three years since I saw the original at the time of this writing. But I just love the movie. When I heard about Dumb and Dumber To I can say I was equal parts excited and horrified.
Board Game Review: Love Letter
Over the last year I've started to become more and more interested in board and card games. Growing up we had Sunday game night, which would have one of my family members pick a game to play as a family. In the last year Jenn and I have started playing more and more of them and have something of a pretty good library building up.
Movie Review: A Million Ways to Die in the West
I had really high expectations for A Million Ways to Die in the West when I first saw the trailers at the beginning of the year. It even made my top movies of the summer list. The movie is directed, written, and starred by Seth MacFarlane who seems to be comedy/hollywood gold right now. The movie is exactly as the title says, about all the crazy ways people could die in the wild west.
