Board Game Review: Love Letter
Over the last year I've started to become more and more interested in board and card games. Growing up we had Sunday game night, which would have one of my family members pick a game to play as a family. In the last year Jenn and I have started playing more and more of them and have something of a pretty good library building up.
One of the most recent card games I purchased on Amazon is a game called Love Letter. It sells for less then $10 and is easily one of the best card games I've ever played if not the best. The concept may sound nerdy (which it is and that's awesome) but the game is super simple and anyone can understand the rules within two minutes. In short your goal is to get a letter to the princess and to do so you need to get it there before your opponents do.
The game is 2-4 players and I've played it both with two and four people and either way it is absolutely fantastic. You play multiple rounds and for example when playing with two people, the first player to seven successful letters to the princess wins. To win a round you either have the highest card at the end of the round or depending on how the cards are picked up you're the last man/woman standing. For the price and the enjoyment (we've probably played 20 games of it already) I think its one of the best games out there. I cannot sing the praises of this game enough.
