Movie Review: Dumb and Dumber To
Ranking my favorite movies of all-time is a really hard thing to do. There are movies that I love today that I'm not sure I will love 5 or 10 years from now. One movie though that has remained in at least my Top 5 movies of all time is Dumb and Dumber. Its not a movie I watch often, its probably been three years since I saw the original at the time of this writing. But I just love the movie. When I heard about Dumb and Dumber To I can say I was equal parts excited and horrified.
Board Game Review: Love Letter
Over the last year I've started to become more and more interested in board and card games. Growing up we had Sunday game night, which would have one of my family members pick a game to play as a family. In the last year Jenn and I have started playing more and more of them and have something of a pretty good library building up.
Movie Review: A Million Ways to Die in the West
I had really high expectations for A Million Ways to Die in the West when I first saw the trailers at the beginning of the year. It even made my top movies of the summer list. The movie is directed, written, and starred by Seth MacFarlane who seems to be comedy/hollywood gold right now. The movie is exactly as the title says, about all the crazy ways people could die in the wild west.
Decorating Pumpkins - 2014 Edition
One of the first things I did with Jenn's family when we started dating was painting pumpkins. It was a tradition that both Jenn and her mom got super into every year, and I would begrudgingly participate. In Jenn's household it was a competition to see who could do the best pumpkin. It would always end with Jenn's Mom having the best followed by Jenn, then her Dad (who would rush to get his done) and me who looked like an unskilled second grader.
The Best To-Do App: Wunderlist
Since I first started out reviewing games back when I was 14 years old I would make to-do lists for things I'd need to get done for Darkstation. I continued that through high school, college, and now work. Now with the beautiful iPhone 6 Plus I began looking for an app that could keep track of a bunch of to-do's. I use the app Lift for personal goals (flossing/exercise/vitamins etc) but I wanted an app that would be a lot more dynamic. Then came Wunderlist.
Movie Review: Gone Girl
One of my most anticipated movies of this fall has been Gone Girl. It obviously made my list of movies I wanted to see this year. After listening to the audio book that is the source material for the movie a couple years ago I couldn't wait to get more of it. Gone Girl (the book) is one of the best thrillers I've ever read. It was so good that I had Jenn read it right after I got done and she loved it as well.
