Movie Review: The Kings of Summer
I've been wanting to see The Kings of Summer since I first saw the trailer almost a year ago. Finally now that its out for rental, we picked it up at Redbox and got to watch it. The basic movie premise has three high school age teenagers who are fed up with life at home embark on an adventure into the woods to start lives on their own.
Spurring the Moment, A Day at Universal Studios
The last couple of weekends have been amazing. We spent a lot of time together, taking long walks, playing board games, going to church, and watching a ton of TV and Movies. I knew one of these weekends we were going to have to shift the trend, and it just so happened to be this most recent one. On Saturday morning I went to get my hair cut at 18|8 in Costa Mesa, and got home a little after ten to a bright eyed Jenn who I knew instantly was up to something.
Movie Review: In a World
I urge you to try and watch In a World and not try and replicate the amazing voice actors who narrate movie trailers. In a World for those who haven't heard of it is a movie about voice actors and the very exclusive club of them who narrate movie trailers. I don't know about you but I absolutely love movie trailers. When Jenn and I go see a movie at the theaters we give an obligatory thumbs up or down depending on our thoughts on the trailer. So needless to say this movie was right up our alley.
Movie Review: Rush
I remember last summer seeing the trailers for Rush and knowing that Jenn was never going to the theaters to see this movie. Even if we are both big fans of Ron Howard as a director, there was no chance I could convince her to see a racing movie. So needless to say we waited for it to hit blu-ray and picked it up on Red Box this past weekend.
Movie Review: Her
Very rarely do I go into a movie expecting not to like it and come out of it not only loving it but considering it one of my favorite movies in a long time. Yesterday Jenn and I on a whim went to go see the Oscar nominated movie Her starring Joaquin Phoenix and Scarlett Johansen.
Movie Review: Jobs
I'm really shocked I didn't make Jenn go see Jobs in the theaters. But somehow getting out to see Jobs alluded me so I waited for it come out on rental to check it out. Most of you probably already know by this point but I've been a giant Apple fan since the release of the iPod. Since that time I've watched probably every Apple keynote and began to truly admire how Steve Jobs not only presented keynotes but drove innovation at Apple.
