Movie Review: Her

Very rarely do I go into a movie expecting not to like it and come out of it not only loving it, but considering it one of my favorite movies in a long time. Yesterday Jenn and I on a whim went to go see the Oscar nominated movie Her starring Joaquin Phoenix and Scarlett Johansen.

Jenn was the driving force to going to see Her and I completely expected to be bored, but within the first five minutes of the movie I was hooked. There was an honesty about that movie from start to finish that both Jenn and I loved. The characters felt real, with honest real life emotions. Most of the time when you see a movie like this everything is exaggerated, but the nuance of all the conversations were tremendous.

For me Her is by far the best movie I've seen so far in 2014. The acting was out of this world, and the story was unique and interesting and one that I can't wait to go back and watch. If you haven't seen it yet, seek it out its worth the price of admission.
