I'll Have Another: Celebrity Cruises Great Wine Festival
A couple of weeks back Jenn was surfing the web on a Saturday morning and stumbled upon a Wine Festival taking place in Irvine at the OC Great Park. We both had never been to a wine festival so we decided this would be the perfect first experience. The deal was made even sweeter because we are part of the Captain's Club at Celebrity Cruises. We got an extra ten bucks off each ticket which made going an easy decision.

The wine festival was from 2-5pm. We got there at 2:15pm and walked right in. They didn't even check our tickets which was weird. As you enter you got a wine glass and a lanyard with a small rubber device at the bottom. We both had no idea what it was but when we looked around we quickly saw it was to put your wine glass in so you can keep your hands free. Once we figured that out it was time to try some wines. We went to the first booth right after the entrance and had some red wine, probably the worst of the afternoon. From there we both got another glass of wine at the next booth and then went to get some food.
Among probably fifteen or twenty vineyards showing off their wine, there was also five or six restaurants and catering services showing off their food. The best was actually Celebrity Cruises which had their Lawn Club Grill (see our Caribbean Cruise 2013 trip for our thoughts on that restaurant) which had some great cheese and lamb. There were a lot of other different finger foods from sashimi to barbecue wings. We ended up getting into a pace of trying two glasses of wine and then getting some food.

Wine wasn't the only alcohol at the Celebrity Cruises Great Wine Festival. They also had Gin and Tequila makers there showing off their new drinks. So we tried both of their booths as well. We ended up staying at the festival until around 4:30pm. Our last stop was the Stella Brewery booth which was giving away Stella glasses so I made Jenn and I stand in line to get them. I now have two Stella glasses as well as two Stella sampler glasses. Always fun to get free swag and a nice way to end the day. We had such an incredible time at the festival, we already have it on the calendar for next year!
