Most Ancipated Movies for Summer 2012

If you have been visiting my blog for any length of time you probably know I love TV, Video Games, and Movies. Well today I am here to talk about my most anticipated movies of Summer 2012. So without further ado here is my list.

The Avengers (Release: May 4th, 2012)

The first few trailer for Marvel's upcoming super hero compilation The Avengers did little to excite me. Sure I loved Thor and enjoyed Captain American and Iron Man but all of the super heroes in one movie seemed overwhelming. My opinion started to change and now I am extremely pumped to see The Avengers battle whatever evil they are battling.

Snow White and the Huntsman (Release: June 1st, 2012)

This movie looks pretty great. Charlize Theron seems perfect for the role of the evil queen, and this modern take on the Snow White story actually makes me interested in Snow White. However out of all of the movies on my list I think this one makes me the most nervous about being corny. Who knows though it could really be a huge success.

Prometheus (Release: June 8th, 2012)

I think this is Ridley Scott's next big thing. Although at this point we know little to nothing about this movie. Every piece of media I have seen about Prometheus makes me more and more excited for this movie. Who isn't down for a good old fashion sci-fi thriller? I know I am and I think this movie looks epic.

Brave (Release: June 22nd, 2012)

This is another movie that I really have no idea what the plot is. The few trailers I have seen for Brave seems to be Pixar back doing what they do. Visually speaking the movie looks incredible. Would we expect any less from Pixar? I for one am very intrigued by what I have seen so far in the trailers. It looks to me like it has the potential to be another exciting journey.

The Amazing Spider-Man (Release: July 3rd, 2012)

Spider-Man has never been my favorite super hero, and Tobey Maguire was never the right fit for the role. So I am happy that Sony decided to reboot the franchise and start over. Although Andrew Garfield isn't my first pick for Spider-Man I think he has a better chance of making a lasting series then Tobey did. It can't be worse then Spider-Man 3? Can it?

The Dark Knight Rises (Release: July 20th, 2012)

Do I really need to say anything else? I mean its the sequel to arguably one of the best movies in the last ten years The Dark Knight. I was among a small audience who loved the first movie in Christopher Nolan's Batman Begins. I am interested to see how Anne Hathaway plays Catwoman. But even if Dark Knight Rises is half as good as the Dark Knight this could be one of the best movies of the year.

The Bourne Legacy (Release: August 3rd, 2012)

I know what we are doing on Jenn's birthday! Although a Bourne movie without Matt Damon just doesn't seem right. But if the fourth movie in the franchise is anything like the past three we should be in for one action packed ride. From the trailers it seems like Jeremy Renner is a pretty good fit for the role. Bring on some more awesome hand to hand combat!

The Expendables 2 (Release: August 17th, 2012)

What's not to like? I for one really enjoyed The Expendables. It is the perfect popcorn movie. Sure I only watched it once in theaters, but it was an enjoyable action movie with little to no plot. This time around Arnold the former governator joins the movie in his first big return to the big screen. If it's anything like the first count me in!

Honorable Mention: Total Recall, Seeking a Friend for the End of the World, Neighborhood Watch, and Lawless.
