Phoenix Trip 2014 Day 2: The Good Life
You would think with "monsoon" like storms on our first night in Phoenix we would have slept horribly. But actually we slept in until almost 8:30AM before finally mustering enough stamina to get out of bed. That didn't last long as we turned on the Men's Wimbledon Semi-Final with Roger Federer and Milos Raonic. Luckily Fed made quick work of Ranoic and from there we went back out to enjoy a beautiful day at the lazy river.
Phoenix Trip 2014 Day 1: Lazy River
Jenn and I very rarely go on mini-vacations. We tend to save up all our vacation days for the big international trips we try to take at least once a year. Our last vacation was to China/Bali back in September of 2013 which means its been nearly ten months since we stepped off the bus completely and got away. With July 4th coming around the corner we decided at the very last minute to book a four night vacation to Phoenix something we used to do with Jenn's parents years ago. You might be thinking, why would anyone go to the Arizona desert in the dead heat of summer? And I'd say to you I'm not sure, but we always have a great time, and this time was no exception.
We Booked Our Trip for 2014
If you frequent this blog at any regularity you know that Jenn and I love to travel. We both work very hard and the way we like to reward ourselves is to travel the world. After a ton of debating we finally landed on our trip for 2014. So without further ado we are going on an 11-Day Holy Land Cruise leaving out of Istanbul on Celebrity Cruise Line followed by a few of days in both Rome and Paris before heading back home.
Beijing/Bali Trip 2013 Day 9: Perfection
There is nothing like getting a good night sleep and that's exactly what both Jenn and I got after our first incredible day in Uluwatu. We woke up to beautiful blue skies, a slight breeze, and the sense of awe that only a place like this can bring. We took our time getting up and headed down for breakfast at their main restaurant.
Beijing/Bali Trip 2013 Day 8: It Just Keeps Getting Better
Four years ago today I made the best decision of my life, marrying my best friend, the love of my life, Jenn. We have had some pretty spectacular anniversaries in the past but none can compare this.
We woke up this morning and spent our good time getting up and enjoyed the incredible view from our bed into the rainforest and the Ayung river. I've said this before but its worth repeating. I wish there was a way to capture the feeling of contentment and peace that we both get when we are on vacation.
Beijing/Bali Trip 2013 Day 7: Money Conversion Problems
After climbing the Great Wall and riding elephants, today was the start of the trip where it was less about sight seeing and more about resting and enjoying our time here in Bali. We woke up this morning with no plans and just the knowledge that this was our last full day at the Royal Pita Maha in Ubud, Bali.
