Last summer we booked a trip to go to Switzerland in January of 2018. We had planned to do a week traveling through the Alps enjoying the freezing weather and snow. But when we got back from India in November our bodies had other things to say about that. We decided against jumping on a plane a month later and instead exchanged those plane flights for a trip in May.

After twenty-seven days, away from home, we’re now back home and I’d give anything to be starting this trip over again. If you said Joel you and Jenn can go to all of these places again tomorrow, I’d say give us ten minutes so we can pack our bags. Before we left on this trip I wasn’t sure we would have had as great of a time as we did. 

We’ve reached our last day of the Grand Adventure. I cannot believe that twenty-five days have already passed and we’re on our last day here in New Delhi. But I’ll leave the recap of the trip for a different time, we had one full day left in New Delhi to enjoy the beautiful city.

It's been a long road to get here, but today is the second to last day of our Grand Adventure, and one that we've been looking forward to since we booked our flights nearly nine months ago. This morning we woke up at 5 AM and were downstairs at The Lodhi a few minutes after 6 AM to meet up with our driver Sanjay who was going to take us on the 220KM journey from Delhi to Agra to visit the Taj Mahal.

I love days like today. The ones that are unexpected surprises. We woke up this morning at a leisurely 7 AM and made our way downstairs to the hotel's main restaurant for breakfast. We were fortunate enough to get breakfast included with our hotel room which meant we could just order whatever we wanted from the menu. Jenn went with pancakes, and I had a two egg breakfast with bacon, sausage, and toast. They also brought us a pastry basket and fruit to start with. Everything was delicious and it gave us the energy we needed for the day.

This morning when we woke up Jenn wished me a happy gobble gobble, and it took me at least a minute to realize what she was talking about. Being on this trip for over three weeks I'm completely lost in where we are and what day it is. But its true, today is Thanksgiving, and it looked completely different than any other Thanksgiving either of us has ever experienced.
