French Open Trip 2018 is Booked

Last summer we booked a trip to go to Switzerland in January of 2018. We had planned to do a week traveling through the Alps enjoying the freezing weather and snow. But when we got back from India in November our bodies had other things to say about that. We decided against jumping on a plane a month later and instead exchanged those plane flights for a trip in May.

Last year we went to the US Open tennis tournament and had an amazing time. We have three more majors to go. This year we're continuing the trend of knocking out some of my bucket list with the French Open. We've been to Rolland Garros before (Jenn twice) but never to see the tournament. But our trip doesn't start in Paris. From LAX we are flying to Geneva, Switzerland. We've loved our time in Switzerland before and can't wait to lounge by Lake Geneva and enjoy some cheese fondue.

We will board a train from Geneva to Paris where we will spend a little under a week in my favorite city in the world. Outside of going to the French Open which is the primary reason for going back I can't wait to roam the city, enjoy the incredible cuisine, and just get lost in the magic that is Paris.

Before heading home we are boarding one more train, from Paris to Brussels. We had originally planned to go to Brussels in 2016 but ran out of time. Now we've got a couple of days to enjoy Belgium before flying home. Although this isn't one of our longer trips I know we're both excited and energized to get back on the road and explore this amazing world. Next stop Geneva!
