Our last day in Osaka was as low key as they come. We started with shopping, came back for facials, and finished the day with a nice walk through Osaka.

If you didn’t know already I love food, and I love crazy extravagant dining experiences. But nothing could prepare me for starting my day at McDonalds and ending it the 3 Michelin Star restaurant, Hajime.

With my 40th birthday in the rearview mirror, it was time to enjoy Jenn’s 39th birthday by taking a bullet train to Osaka. We started our time at Osaka Castle, bought antiques, and had an amazing teppanyaki dinner.

I woke up with such mixed emotions today. On one hand, I was so excited to be back in Abu Dhabi, and on the other, I also knew it was the last day of the trip. When we booked our two nights in Abu Dhabi we knew it was more of a stopover than an actual destination. Luckily having visited here two years ago there wasn’t anything we necessarily missed seeing then so today was all about just enjoying being back here.

I’m so sad to be writing this post because it means our time at the St. Regis Maldives has come to an end. We knew today would be a long day as our flight from Male to Abu Dhabi didn’t depart until 9 PM so we still had a close to a full day in paradise.

I don’t even know how we got here already but somehow we are on our last full day here at the St. Regis Maldives. What felt like the far future is now tomorrow and so on cue today started with the Maldives crying for us this morning shower.
