Five Absolutely Amazing Years
I'm the luckiest man in the world. Five years ago today I married my high school sweetheart, my best friend, and the love of my life. On September 19, 2009 Jenn and I walked down the aisle at the stunning St. Regis in Monarch Beach. It was a picture perfect day and was the start of what has been an absolutely incredible five years.
TV Review: Homeland Season 3 Review
It was only a couple of weeks ago that I posted my review of Season 2 of Homeland. For me it was such an up and down season and never was able to recapture the crazy high bar set by the first season. Going into Season 3 I had no idea what to expect as it seemed like the buzz for the show had fallen off a ledge.
Movie Review: Blue Jasmine
Last week Jenn and I saw Woody Allen's latest movie Magic in the Moonlight. It was a good movie but didn't measure up to some our favorites (Match Point, Scoop, Midnight in Paris, and To Rome with Love) but was still an enjoyable watch. I then realized we never saw the critically acclaimed Blue Jasmine and immediately rectified that by picking it up on Redbox.
The Art of Being an Apple Fan Boy - My iPhone 6 Plus Has Been Purchased
I don't remember when my Apple addiction began. I just know in my early teens having a fascination with Apple as a company. I remember watching Steve Jobs give these electric press conferences and thinking wow this is a company that gets it. My love for the company grew exponentially with the introduction of the iPhone which I purchased right after release and then upgraded to the iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4 and then iPhone 5.
Movie Review: Magic in the Moonlight
Some of my favorite movie memories with Jenn have been watching Woody Allen movies. We both really enjoy his style, his dark sense of humor, and the whimsy in his movies. I don't in any way condone what he's been accused of, but as a film director we are fans. Our love for his movies started with the movie Match Point back in 2005 (highly recommend it) and continued with Scoop, Midnight in Paris, and To Rome with Love.
Discrimination Is Alive and Well in 2014
In the past few weeks both Jon Stewart and John Oliver have done incredible segments on their shows about how discrimination is alive and well in 2014. Jon Stewart used his first episode back on The Daily Show after a two week break to talk about the Ferguson shooting and the fact that racism is still alive and well in the US today. And John Oliver used his show, Last Week Tonight to bring up the embarrassing fact that in 2014 we are still paying women less then men.
