Where do I even begin? I started last year with so much hope. I was in a new job, and I was starting to finally feel a little bit more settled in our new home – New York City. I tell Joel this all the time, but living here is like living in a dream. Sometimes I feel like I’m living in a snow globe, and someone else is watching me live this extraordinary and imaginary life. It makes me so much more cognizant of how precious and fleeting life truly is.

It’s that time of year again! Jenn and I have spent time independently looking back at the year that was and talking about some of our favorite things from 2018. From TV shows to vacation stops, to memories, we’ve written down our favorites from 2018, and here they are!

Each year Jenn and I compile a list ranking the TV we watched over that past year. This year we just watched more TV than any other year. Part of that is that we stayed home more both because of Frasier and we traveled less in 2019. The good news is it was a phenomenal year for TV and I can speak for both Jenn and I when I say that ranking this year was harder than ever.

I’ve found that the older I get the more I want to focus in on what I want from life. When I look back at the goals I set out for 2019 I am proud to say that it is directionally things that are important for me. Reading, reflecting, and taking care of myself.

December is always the hardest month to write about. I know in the back of my mind after I finish this post I have to somehow sum up 2019 into one post. But until we get there let’s look back on an abbreviated December.

As I write this post on the first day of December we are just starting to see the first snow of the winter come down. Frasier is busy chewing on his rope and Jenn is enjoying a documentary about the first rides at Disneyland on Disney+. It’s been an amazing month and we can’t wait to see how the end of the decade comes to a conclusion.
