A Beautiful Sunday in Laguna
A few weeks ago Jenn and I decided that we needed to start doing some quick weekend getaways. Didn't even have to be overnight we just wanted to get out of our Newport Beach/ Irvine comfort zone. We live in Orange County and there are some beautiful places near by so we decided lets go on a small adventure and just see what's happening in Laguna.
Our Favorite Things from 2012
Last year Jenn and I did our first ever "favorite things" list from the year. Unlike my Year-In-Review which more gives a high level summary of the year, our favorite things goes to the stuff that we liked throughout the year whether it be TV, Music, Movies, Games, etc.
So we are back now with our favorite things from 2012!
2012 – On Top of the World
I’ve been writing these Year-End posts for a long time now and I am extremely grateful for it. Before writing this years post I went back and read the past couple of years. One thing struck me loud and clear, every year you can see how truly blessed we are. God has been with us through some serious lows and incredible highs. Through it all we have learned so much, grown together, and had an incredible journey.
Video Tour of our Finally Finished Apartment
We moved into our Newport Beach apartment over a year ago but it hasn't been finished up until a few weeks ago. Our master bedroom remained mostly unchanged but the family room and the second bedroom have been completely revamped and redecorated. We transformed the second bedroom from a rarely used guest bedroom to a office/den.
Welcome to the New World of Joel!
This has been a long time coming. Like a year or so in the making. I would be lying if I said that I had been tirelessly working on the new World of Joel over the past year because I haven't. What I have wanted to do however is freshen up the place and get back to posting. Before I go any further there are two people I should thank. First a thanks goes out to Syanne Djaenal who drew the Ned Stark (from Game of Thrones) like version of myself for my header. The other big thank you goes out to my wife Jenn who designed the header. I think she did a fantastic job and I love the new look.
Moving Back to Newport is Oh So Sweet
It's been a few months since I last posted and instead of going into reasons why, let's keep moving forward. One of the big events of the past couple of months is Jenn and I moving back to Newport Beach. When we moved to Irvine a year ago it was to make room for our new puppy which we of course ended up not keeping. So when our lease was coming up we looked back into coming back to our old apartment complex in Newport Beach. This time however instead of getting a 1 bedroom we upped it a bit and went to a 2nd bedroom unit. Now three weeks after we moved in we are absolutely loving it. Although the place is still a bit of a ways away from being fully furnished Jenn has done an amazing job putting it together.
