Movie Review: Inside Out

I've been meaning to write this review for a couple of weeks now. But if you read one of my recent posts, Jenn and I have been quite busy. However on one of the weekends we were forced out of the house due to an Open House we went and saw Inside Out the latest Pixar movie at the Big Newport theater in Fashion Island. One thing to note about the Big Newport Theater its under going some renovations and now have huge loungers for seats that recline. A great way to take in a show.

If you read my summer anticipated post from a couple months back you might remember that Inside Out was one of my most anticipated of the summer. The trailer was brilliant. And its Pixar so really why wouldn't you anticipate one of these movies. For me Inside Out was a great movie. No doubt about it. But I feel like I might have missed truly how brilliant it was.

The movie is about a young girl who is growing up. You get to see some insight into how her brain is processing life changes through different characters that represent different emotions. For me Inside Out was the least kid friendly movies they've made. The theater was pretty quiet throughout. However for adults Inside Out might be one of the best they've done.

Jenn said it was brilliant. I think it was great. Although I do feel like I need to see it again as after talking with Jenn after seeing the movie I feel like I missed some of its deeper meanings. Regardless Pixar once again shows why they are still the best in the business. Easily in my top 5 Pixar movies of all time.
