Watching Back to the Future at the OC Great Park

A month back Jenn and I had a great time at the OC Great Park when we went to the Wine Festival. Because of the Wine Festival, Jenn went on the OC Great Park website and saw they have movies in the park on Friday and Saturday nights. Most of the movies are kid movies but they also have Flashback Fridays and this weeks movie was one of my all time favorite movies, Back to the Future. 

Jenn got home from the hair salon (after her half-day of work at Taco Bell) and we headed over to The Counter Custom Built Burger for dinner. It's one of our favorite places to eat, we've been going there since moving out to Orange County six years ago. Jenn always gets The Purist (meat and bun only) and I always get a burger with chiles, hard boiled eggs, lettuce and honey mustard. I also got a Stella and Jenn got a Strawberry shake. It's such a great meal.

After dinner we headed to the OC Great Park. We got there around 7PM and it was already packed. I guess I'm not the only one that loves Back to the Future. We got a great spot right on one of the raised ledges and had an hour until it got dark enough for them to start the movie. Irvine does a lot of things well and the movie in the park was definitely one of them.

There was not only a snack bar but four food trucks as well. It was a really fantastic evening (a bit cold) but just a ton of fun. The crowd cheered a few times and was really into the movie. I can't wait to do this again with Jenn, hopefully they show Rocky next summer!
