Ultimate Europe Trip 2016 Day 7: Food for Political Thought
We're already a week into our trip and still all I can think is that I just want more. Last night was the best night of sleep we've gotten. I'm to afraid to claim victory yet, but I'm starting to think we're fully adjusted to the European time zone. We woke up at a leisurely 7AM. While Jenn continued to rest past 7, I was able to go downstairs and go for a nice morning run.
Ultimate Europe Trip 2016 Day 6: Are You Not Into Trains!?
After hitting the publish button on Day 5 of the #UltimateEuropeTrip2016 post, I put away the laptop, packed up everything I could, and Jenn and I went to sleep. We knew that today would be a big travel day, and as such we wanted to get as much rest as possible. Sadly we are still waking up at some point during the night, usually watching Netflix before falling back asleep.
Ultimate Europe Trip 2016 Day 5: I Am-Ster-Dam Sad to Leave
How did we already get to the last day of Amsterdam? How is this even possible? I feel like I'm just coming down off the high of flying business class and yet here we are. As I sit writing this we are just about to pack for our train trip to Berlin. But lets not get ahead of ourselves, we had one full day left in Amsterdam and it was a great one.
Ultimate Europe Trip 2016 Day 4: We 'Frank'ly Needed the Rest
It's hard to imagine that we're already on our forth day of the trip, and our second full day in Amsterdam. So far the city has been incredible, far exceeding our expectations. Our plan for today was to take a day-trip to Brussels. However the tour we were going to do got cancelled due to a Belgium holiday and when we woke up at 6AM (after only a couple of hours of sleep after the red light tour) to make our 7AM train we realized that there was just no chance of us spending a full-day in Brussels on this little of sleep. So we woke up at 6AM, cancelled our train tickets, and went back to sleep.
Ultimate Europe Trip 2016 Day 3: Red Light Means Gogh
After an incredible first day in Amsterdam, it was time for the trip to really begin. Like almost every Europe trip before, we woke up early and were wide awake by around 2AM. Luckily after watching an episode of BoJack Horsemen on Netflix we were able to fall back asleep until 6:30AM. You would think with 8+ hours of sleep under us we would wake up refreshed and ready but we really struggled to get going this morning.
Ultimate Europe Trip 2016 Day 2: An Electric Beginning
When I last left you Jenn and I were putting on our eye masks, fully stretched out on our lie flat business class seats. We both fell asleep and woke up with only an hour and a half left in the flight. As we awoke we were brought back out a white table cloth, coffee and tea, and our breakfast. Jenn had a warm apple pie dish for breakfast and I had their quiche. Both were phenomenal albeit far to much food for 1AM in the morning. After breakfast Jenn went back to sleep up until we were coming in for a landing and I did everything I could to soak up every second of the experience.
