#UltimateEuropeTrip2016 Has Been Booked
There's a couple posts each year that I eagerly await writing. One is our favorite things of the year. Another is the year in review. But the post I love writing the most is announcing an upcoming trip. After two great mini-vacations to start out 2016 (Sonoma & Seattle) Jenn and I spent our Valentines Day booking the Ultimate Europe Trip 2016.
A Mini Vacation - Seattle 2016
Didn’t I just write about a mini-vacation? Oh that’s right I did. It was only last weekend that Jenn and I flew up to Napa Valley. A couple days later Jenn got word she would be going up to Seattle for work and so we decided to add a couple of days for us to enjoy the city. We already had tickets to see If/Then at Segerstrom on Friday night so we decided to fly up first thing Saturday morning.
A Mini Vacation - Napa Valley 2016
Over the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday weekend Jenn and I took a short three day vacation to Sonoma County in California. We had booked the trip during the holidays using some free nights we had accumulated with Hyatt. This past Friday we got home from work, finished packing our suitcase, and made our way out the door and on to a three day getaway.
Royal Voyage 2015: Goodbye Dubai & Welcome Home
Most of the time I end my vacation posts with the last full day of our trip. It’s usually for the best as our last day is usually all just getting on an airplane and flying back home. And so far that’s exactly what’s happening today. We got up at 6AM at the beautiful Sofitel Jerimiah, where I took a glorious shower before we got back into the same BMW 7 series that picked us up at the cruise terminal a few days prior. I’m not joking easily in my top five best showers ever. The drive in was uneventful and we boarded our plane to London and then off to LAX. However, that’s where the recap of today will end. Instead this is just a round-up post. A way to to finish off the trip and announce that all of the photos from our trip have now been posted.
Royal Voyage 2015 Day 19: Sliding to the Finish Line
I don't want to write todays post. By writing about today, it will mean that what I've dreaded for three weeks has come to pass, our trip is ending. Before we all break out the metaphoric tissues (real for me) we had one more day in Dubai. It was time for some water slides.
Royal Voyage 2015 Day 18: Throwing it Our Way
Did I mention how fun yesterday was? We spent most of this morning looking at pictures from yesterday's Desert Safari. We didn't even get out of bed until close to 10AM and barely made it downstairs in time to hit the 11AM shuttle to take us to the Dubai Mall and the Burj Khalifa the tallest building in the world.
