Royal Voyage 2015 Day 3: Walking Zombies

Our last day in Barcelona went by in a snap. By the time we got up, re-packed, and looked at the clock it was already past 11AM. We walked down the boardwalk in search of wine (for the cruise) and lunch (for our stomachs). We looked everywhere for something quick but on the boardwalk were only coffee shops or restaurants. We walked quite a bit before giving up, grabbing some wine at the local market and going back to the hotel.

Royal Voyage 2015 Day 2: Tapas with a Sidecar

I thought we'd finally solved jet lag. Having never gotten to a European destination in the morning I thought if we powered through the first day, took a short nap, and went to bed at a normal time that we would be able to jump into the new time zone. I was sadly mistaken. We ended up going to bed at a reasonable hour but then woke up in the middle of the night (2AM) bright eyes and ready for the day. Probably sounds familiar if you've read about any of our past Europe trips.

Royal Voyage 2015 Day 1: Other Activities

What a crazy year. I’m sitting on a plane 39,000 ft. above ground writing the first half of the recap for the first day of our Royal Voyage 2015. It's surreal. To the point where I’ve stared at a blank word document for a long time wondering how do I even begin? I want so badly to encapsulate the peace and joy that was restored in our lives and also how much this trip means. But I guess instead of finding the right words, I will just write about the start of yet another amazing journey for Jenn and I.

We've Finally Booked Our Vacation: Royal Voyage 2015

I truly wasn't sure if I was ever going to be able to write this post in 2015. I was almost certain that our new home costs would stop us from being able to travel this year. Ever since the first couple of weeks in 2015 (when we moved into our new home) we've been trying to figure out what to do for a trip. We needed the trip to be a lot less expensive then our past couple of years (Epic Europe 2014, Bejing/Bali 2013) but we still wanted to go explore the vast world around us.

Epic Europe Trip 2014 Day 19: A Magical Conclusion

Waking up this morning might have been the toughest thing we've done all trip. By waking up we were giving credence to the fact that today is not only our last day in Paris but our last day on this Epic Europe Adventure. Before any tears were shed we had one full day in Paris left and we planned to use every second of it. We set the alarm for 6:30 this morning and were down at breakfast by 8AM and out the door a little after 9AM. We jumped on the Metro and began our journey to Disneyland Paris.

Epic Europe Trip 2014 Day 18: A Long Line on a Cold Paris Day

How do you follow-up a lunch at Le Jules Verne and seeing the Moulin Rouge? You sleep and then you sleep some more. Jenn and I are not anything close to resembling night owls. We enjoy our sleep maybe a little too much. After an incredible day yesterday the best way we could have ever followed it up was by sleeping so that's what we did. We woke up a little after 9AM this morning and were in no rush to get the morning started.
