Have I mentioned how much we both love Venice? If not then I will reiterate it again here, we absolutely love Venice. We woke up this morning with huge grins on our faces. Its the first time all trip we've gotten up right away under our own will-power to go out and enjoy more of Venice. At around 8AM we were ready and went down to the first floor for breakfast. The Aqua Palace had a pretty nice spread for breakfast. The normal staples of eggs, bacon, sausage, cheese, deli meat, fruit, and pastries. We loaded up for breakfast in their nice little dining room and then headed out to an absolutely stunning morning. 

We made a last minute decision, we decided that we were going to make a slight detour on our Epic Europe Trip 2014. We decided while in Rome to tag on a train ride to one of our favorite places in the world, Venice. We set our alarm for 7AM and packed up an overnight bag and were off to celebrate 11 years together in Venice, Italy. Slightly different then the parking lot of Martin Luther King High School in Riverside, CA where it all began. 

After a week in Santorini it was so nice to come to the Sofitel at the Athens airport, put our stuff down and passed out. We easily got our best night of sleep last night in one of the comfiest beds I've ever slept in at a hotel. We woke up at around 8AM and started getting all of our stuff ready for our flight from Athens to Rome at 11AM.

It was a sad morning in room 31 at the Cavanes Oia Hotel and Suites as we packed up our stuff to end what was a tremendous week in Santorini. We both woke up a little after seven and immediately went to packing up and getting ready for our flight to Athens. After getting most everything packed we ordered breakfast and enjoyed our last few glimpses of our amazing view. 

It's hard to imagine that our time here in Santorini is almost over. It feels like we just got here. We woke up this morning and I think I can finally say we have fully adjusted to the European time zone. When we finally got out of bed we were able to take in the most beautiful morning we've had here in Santorini. Crystal blue skies with only a hint of clouds. With the weather being so nice and warm we decided to have our breakfast on the balcony. 

Whenever Jenn and I plan a vacation we try to mix enough relaxation time with activities as possible. So after a day of pure relaxation yesterday, today we were back off to enjoy more of Santorini. We finally rolled out of bed at around 8AM and went down for breakfast at the pool-side restaurant at 9:30AM. We had our normal breakfast and were off.
