If there was a day on this trip that was for Elle, today would be it. We started the day at a zoo, then went to a chocolate factory, and ended the day with cheese fondue.

Although we had to alter our plans today due to the hot temperatures, that didn’t stop us from enjoying a great museum and some delicious cheese fondue.

We are now on our first full day in Zurich, and the temperature is almost 100 degrees. We had to change our plans and chose to stay indoors as much as possible, only venturing out in the evening to take in this beautiful city.

And now the trip truly begins. After four stressful nights in Dublin, we boarded a plane this morning to Zurich to really kickstart our vacation.

It's always a great sign for a trip when your sad to leave a place. Waking up this morning was tough for many reasons but mainly we were both sad to be leaving the beauty of Switzerland. The good news is we aren't done with the European adventure yet, in fact we are not even close. The trip is just getting started.

The day started with Jenn and I taking a nine hour journey from Atlanta, Georgia to Zurich, Switzerland. It was the first international flight either of us has taken that we didn't have an individual screen in the seat in front of us. Luckily I had loaded plenty to keep me busy with on my iPad and Jenn was busy planning out the next twenty days of vacation. The flight was pretty non-eventful and got is in right around 8AM Switzerland time.
