It was a sad morning in room 31 at the Cavanes Oia Hotel and Suites as we packed up our stuff to end what was a tremendous week in Santorini. We both woke up a little after seven and immediately went to packing up and getting ready for our flight to Athens. After getting most everything packed we ordered breakfast and enjoyed our last few glimpses of our amazing view. 

It's hard to imagine that our time here in Santorini is almost over. It feels like we just got here. We woke up this morning and I think I can finally say we have fully adjusted to the European time zone. When we finally got out of bed we were able to take in the most beautiful morning we've had here in Santorini. Crystal blue skies with only a hint of clouds. With the weather being so nice and warm we decided to have our breakfast on the balcony. 

Whenever Jenn and I plan a vacation we try to mix enough relaxation time with activities as possible. So after a day of pure relaxation yesterday, today we were back off to enjoy more of Santorini. We finally rolled out of bed at around 8AM and went down for breakfast at the pool-side restaurant at 9:30AM. We had our normal breakfast and were off.

After starting off with two jam packed days here in Santorini, Greece it was time to take it down a notch. Well maybe a couple of notches. We both woke up this morning exhausted and ready for a day with nothing planned. We woke up, laid in bed, watched some Netflix, and just all around relaxed. 

I cannot believe we're going on three days in Santorini already. After an amazing hike yesterday we were ready to have a slightly less physically exerting day. We finally slept through the night and woke up at a reasonable time. Our plan for today was to rent a car and drive it around Santorini. We booked the car through the hotels front desk and were told it would be ready at 10AM. 

I write you today from the balcony of our suite overlooking the tremendous caldera, with nearby church bells ringing and a slight breeze just giving me enough cloud cover to see my laptop screen. Its magnificent, and so too was our day today. After a long day of travel yesterday, today is the first full day in Santorini and it was a great way to start the week.
