Extraordinary Adventure 2018 Day 6: Sliding into Marrakech
We've reached the first travel day of our nearly three-week-long journey. This morning we were up only a few hours after we arrived back to our hotel last night to go to Linate airport to fly to Marrakech, Morocco. We left our hotel a little before 6 AM and made the fifteen-minute drive via a taxi to the airport.
Extraordinary Adventure 2018 Day 5: A Beautiful Contrast
When we were driving from the Milan airport to our hotel on the very first day of this trip I saw a billboard advertising trains to Venice. We hadn't thought about what to do on our last day in Milan and realized pretty quickly that we were going to hit all the major stops we wanted to see in the first few days so we booked tickets on the high-speed rail for this morning to Venice.
Extraordinary Adventure 2018 Day 4: Zig and Zag
I realized when I started reading back on previous trips that I spend a lot of time at the beginning of trips talking about jet lag. Rightfully so, it usually takes us three or four days to fully adjust. For example, this morning I woke up at 2 AM (when we went to bed at 11 PM) and couldn't fall back asleep. Luckily with some caffeine and a beautiful city, we ended up still having an incredible day even with little sleep.
Extraordinary Adventure 2018 Day 3: All Aboard
We try to ease into our vacations the best we can so we didn't have a lot planned for our first full day in Milan. We both went to bed at around 10 PM last night and were up by 3 AM. We did watch three episodes of Magic for Humans on Netflix before falling back asleep. When we woke up were both somewhat surprised to see that the clock had already hit 11 AM. So we may have overslept a bit.
Extraordinary Adventure 2018 Day 1 & 2: All Business
We absolutely love traveling. There's the planning. The anticipation. The countdown. And then it happens. You wake up with your bags pack and it's time to go to the airport. One minute your home and the next your in a new place with its own rich history and culture. Today was that day for our big trip of 2018. Originally scheduled for three weeks, we trimmed the trip down to a little under 20-days after our big move to New York a few months ago. We woke up this morning like a normal Thursday. Jenn was running late to work and grabbed a taxi (a rarity for either of us) and I hopped on a couple of calls while I worked the day from home.
