Epic Europe Trip 2014 Day 19: A Magical Conclusion

Waking up this morning might have been the toughest thing we've done all trip. By waking up we were giving credence to the fact that today is not only our last day in Paris but our last day on this Epic Europe Adventure. Before any tears were shed we had one full day in Paris left and we planned to use every second of it. We set the alarm for 6:30 this morning and were down at breakfast by 8AM and out the door a little after 9AM. We jumped on the Metro and began our journey to Disneyland Paris.

Epic Europe Trip 2014 Day 18: A Long Line on a Cold Paris Day

How do you follow-up a lunch at Le Jules Verne and seeing the Moulin Rouge? You sleep and then you sleep some more. Jenn and I are not anything close to resembling night owls. We enjoy our sleep maybe a little too much. After an incredible day yesterday the best way we could have ever followed it up was by sleeping so that's what we did. We woke up a little after 9AM this morning and were in no rush to get the morning started.

Epic Europe Trip 2014 Day 17: Midnight in Paris

Although it has been six years since the last time either Jenn or I were in Paris it feels like we never left. This city is full of wonder and magic and beauty. Every corner we walk by either Jenn or I is pointing at amazing architecture or a cafe we want to try. Its so easy to just get lost in the wonder that is Paris.

Epic Europe Trip 2014 Day 16: A Room With A View

It's hard to imagine that as I type todays post, to the right of me I can see the Eiffel Tower glittering in the Paris skyline. But that's getting ahead of myself. This morning marked the end of our stay in Rome and the beginning of the end for our Epic Europe trip. We woke up this morning at 6:30AM and got ready for our flight from Rome to Paris. We originally wanted to use Uber to get to the airport but our guy never showed. We didn't have much luck with Uber in Rome. So instead we used a taxi and that might not have been the best turn of events. Our driver was one of the most insane taxi drivers we've ever had. A couple of times he was clocking in over 100mph in a pretty good rain storm. There were so many near accidents on the way to the Rome airport I don't even want to think about it.

Epic Europe Trip 2014 Day 15: To A Rainy Rome With Love

With over two weeks on this epic Europe adventure we were bound to get some bad weather at some point. I mean it is November after all. In fact when we got into Istanbul the weather forecast called for rain both days in Istanbul and every day but one in Santorini. And yet we made it 14 days without a drop of rain on our heads. We woke up this morning to a crazy down pour of rain followed by a ton of lighting. We later found out that the city of Rome was on a "red weather alert" which is their highest level. Most schools and government buildings were shut down for the day as they expected up to 4 inches of rain.

Epic Europe Trip 2014 Day 14: Cloudy With a Chance of Jenn Cooking

If you asked Jenn and I why we love coming to Europe one of our top answers would be food. We're both self-confessed foodies. But if you're reading this you already know that because every daily recap comes jam packed with pictures of the food we eat. So Jenn thought we love wine so we did a wine tour in Santorini and we love food we should take a cooking class in Rome. And so that's exactly what we did.
