Joel & Jenn's Travel Continues - Part 2
A little while back I wrote a post, Joel & Jenn's Travel Continues - Part 1 that talked about Jenn and I booking a trip to New York to watch two days of the US Open (1-day session, and 1-night session). Around the same time that we booked the US Open we booked a trip in January of 2018 to head back to Switzerland.
Similar to the US Open trip, we've been contemplating going somewhere in the winter time for a couple of years. Towards the end of 2016, we were super close to going to either Switzerland or Canada but decided against it as Jenn was starting to gain interest in a job opportunity that she later accepted at the start of this year. It's been on our mind for a while, and when we saw flight prices drop to go to Switzerland in January of 2018, we jumped on them.
Our plans for our time in Switzerland aren't finalized but as of right now we're going to be spending 9 nights total in Switzerland. We will be spending at least two of those nights in Zurich (the day we get in, and the day before we head home). We have two places we're planning on going to while in Switzerland, Zermatt (home of the Matterhorn) and back to one of our favorite places on the planet, St Moritz.
We're excited to see what a "real winter" feels like and enjoying the beauty of the Alps during the winter. I'm so excited now that we've finally pulled the trigger on booking this trip, and cannot wait to be boarding our flight in early January that says next stop, Switzerland. Until then we need to start stocking up on winter attire because we have none.
