Beijing/Bali Trip 2013 Day 0: And So It Begins
The wait is finally over. Our journey to the far east is about to begin. Today started like most any other weekday. We woke up and went to work. Jenn had a busy day at the office but was able to have a nice lunch with her dad. Me on the other hand I had to bounce from meeting to meeting (Pomona to Ontario and then home). Luckily I got home a little before Jenn so was able to pack up the the car, make sure everything in the house was in order, and wait for Jenn to get off work.
I met Jenn right at 5 outside her building and we did a quick high five and were instantly transformed into vacation mode. We finished packing, ran down to the car and were off. We made a pit stop so Jenn could get an airbrush tan and then had dinner at one of our favorite places in Newport, The Counter Custom Built Burger. Since we have no idea what foods we will be trying on this trip so we made sure to get a pure american meal tonight. Jenn had a plain hamburger with a strawberry milkshake. I had a cheeseburger with hard boiled eggs, chiles, and honey mustard with my new favorite beer a Pyramid Hefeweizen. We split a fire with half sweet potato and half regular.

From there we said goodbye to Orange County and made our way to LAX where we booked a night at the Four Points by Sheraton. Along with the hotel room we also got a free 14 days of parking. Our plan is to wake up at around 5AM tomorrow and be out of here by 6AM for our 8:10AM departure to Seattle and then onto our first destination Beijing, China.
Let the trip begin!
