A Look Back - February 2020
If January was a slow month, February was running at a full-on sprint. From crazy flight delays, to multi-course pasta tasting menus, to channeling my inner Italian Stallion, February was a month for the record books.
A Look Back - January 2020
As the old decade came to a close a new one sprang up in its place. We’re now 30+ days into 2020 and its been one odd and stressful start to the new year. But as the month has finally come to a close it does seem like things are getting back on track.
2019 A Year in Review - Welcome Frasier
It’s really hard to imagine that as I’m writing this post we’ve now lived in New York City for 18-months. On one hand, it feels like we’ve lived here for years on the other I can still feel getting off the plane and walking to my first day of work at Citi. If 2018 was the year of the move, this has been the year of settling in. We’ve both had great years in our careers, we’ve laid a foundation here in New York, and we now have a companion to experience it all with, Frasier our 10-month old Labradoodle.
Jenn's “Not So” Quick Year-in-Review 2019
Where do I even begin? I started last year with so much hope. I was in a new job, and I was starting to finally feel a little bit more settled in our new home – New York City. I tell Joel this all the time, but living here is like living in a dream. Sometimes I feel like I’m living in a snow globe, and someone else is watching me live this extraordinary and imaginary life. It makes me so much more cognizant of how precious and fleeting life truly is.
Our Favorite Things from 2019
It’s that time of year again! Jenn and I have spent time independently looking back at the year that was and talking about some of our favorite things from 2018. From TV shows to vacation stops, to memories, we’ve written down our favorites from 2018, and here they are!
Ranking the Michelin Restaurants We Ate At in 2019
One of my goals in 2019 was to eat at a dozen Michelin star restaurants in the year. We hit that goal and thought it would be fun to rank the places we ate at from #12 to #1. We did these rankings completely separate from each other but our lists are close to identical. My one takeaway though from these extraordinary meals was watching chefs at the top of their games, doing something better than almost anyone in the world and we had a seat at the table to take it in, enjoy a glass of wine, and enjoy their art. I feel insanely privileged to have been able to experience the amazing culinary adventures that we did in 2019.
