TV Review: Catastrophe Season 2
Last year I ranked the eighteen different shows we watched and ranked the first season of Catastrophe as my personal favorite, and Jenn agreed. So to say we were looking forward to the sophomore season of Catastrophe is a giant understatement, we had the release date circled on our calendar. The release date was only a couple of Friday's ago and we've already consumed the six episode second season.
TV Review: The Amazing Race 27 (We Both Picked Wrong This Time)
A couple of weeks ago most of our TV shows that we watch while eating dinner took breaks we were left with an opportunity to watch a season of The Amazing Race. I signed up for a month of CBS All-Access (which is currently $5.99) to go ahead and watch Season 27 of The Amazing Race. The one downside to using this service apposed to just buying the season on iTunes is that it is jam packed full of commercials that you cannot skip. Making matters worse similar to most online services it repeats the same ads over and over and over again.
TV Review: House of Cards Season 4
I cannot believe that I'm already writing about the forth season of House of Cards. It's kind of insane that Netflix (now a powerhouse in the industry) started its quest for dominance with this political thriller. After two incredible seasons, last years third season was not at the same standard. Well I'm happy to report that not only is Season 4 back to the high level of the first two seasons, it might be my favorite season so far.
TV Review: 11-22-63
In 2012 I read the book 11-22-63 by Stephen King. It's a book that if I was to write down my favorite books of all-time I would absolutely include this novel towards the top of that list. It's one of the rare books that I think about now four years later. I absolutely was sucked into the world that Stephen King built and am constantly thinking about going back and re-reading it. A year ago Hulu announced that they would be developing an 8-episode mini-series based on the book with James Franco starring and JJ Abrams producing.
An Unexpected New 2016 Prius
It may seem like I go through cars quickly, and the truth is if you look at my history with cars I really do. I'm not even a car person. I really don't like cars. It's one of those areas of my life that I spend a ton of time in but wish I didn't have to. When I sat down to write this post the first thing I did was develop a timeline for my car history.
Movie Review: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice
I usually try to write reviews for movies/TV shows pretty quickly after consuming them. I'd rather write down my initial thoughts and not let them be swayed one way or another. However, I didn't do that with Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. It's been over two weeks since Jenn and I went to Big Newport Cinema in Newport Beach and sat in their giant new recliners in their RPX theater to take in this latest superhero movie.
