TV Review: Parenthood (All Seasons)
I'm really ashamed that this is going to be the first time (and potentially last time) I write about the television show, Parenthood. It's a show that Jenn and I have followed since the beginning and have loved but often forgot about. And according to NBC we aren't alone. The show has never been a ratings juggernaut, but they've let the Braverman family continue telling its story and doing a brilliant job of it.
Movie Review: The Martian
Easily one of my most anticipated movies of the year was The Martian. It's a book I fell in love with in early 2014 and at the end of the year named it my favorite book of the year. It was an incredible tale of a man stranded on Mars who had to use every piece of knowledge and fortitude to survive. It was easily one of the best books I've ever read and a movie adaptation seemed like it had to be the potential to be a true classic.
Movie Review: Creed
If you don't know this already, I absolutely love the Rocky franchise. I've been wanting to make a list of my favorite movies of all time for a while but I know for sure #1 on that list would be Rocky II. What can I say I like when he wins (sorry for the Rocky II spoiler). When Rocky made his way back in the ring 15 years after Rocky V, in Rocky Balboa he made a triumphant return. In fact Rocky Balboa is my second favorite movie of the series (yes I've ranked them 1-6). Now Rocky is back but not in his own movie, he's back to train Apollo Creed's son in Creed.
Movie Review: Trainwreck
This past Friday (November 13th) was the day in which the terrorist attacks happened in Paris. Over 150 people lost their lives, over 300 injured, and thousands will never be the same again. I came home from work feeling down as did Jenn. Paris feels like home to both of us. It's a place that one day I hope Jenn and I can retire too. After reflecting on the day, the horrific events in Paris, I just wanted to get away. To get lost in a movie. So we rented Trainwreck one of the highest rated comedies of the year.
TV Review: Catastrophe
On our flight over to Barcelona I had downloaded the first two episodes of the first season of a show on Amazon Prime called Catastrophe. Jenn was sleeping at this point of our first flight and I actually woke her up when I was cracking up on the second episode. She turned to me and started watching (with no sound) and then quickly asked what I was watching. I then restarted Catastrophe from episode one and Jenn got just as hooked as I was.
TV Review: BoJack Horseman Season 1
I can honestly say that I never saw a day that I would be writing a review for an adult cartoon. Its not a genre that I've ever frequented. I've all but missed the boat on shows like The Simpsons, Family Guy, South Park, etc. However after hearing rave reviews for the Netflix original, BoJack Horseman I thought I might as well give it a shot.
