Sometimes the Right Decisions are the Toughest Decisions...Deciding to Sell our Home

When I started blogging in 2003 I used it as a journal. A way to just jot down thoughts about my day, my life, my friends, my tennis career, and my pursuit of Jenn. It slowly morphed from that into a highlight reel of my life. A way for me to have a place to look back on the fond memories. A timeline of events so that one day in the future when I want to remember what I ate in Paris in 2008 when I got off the train I can (it was shrimp risotto from the hotel room service). It's an amazing life to write about. I've been blessed. I have an incredible, amazing wife who's my best friend. I have the best family I could ask for. I have a great job. I get to travel the world. I've been incredibly blessed.

TV Review: Game of Thrones Season 5

How are we already done with Season 5 of Game of Thrones? It feels like I just posted one of the trailers for the upcoming season. And yet ten weeks have passed and another amazing season of Game of Thrones is in the books. I don't even want to think about the fact that it will be almost a year until we get more Game of Thrones. Season 5 has now officially caught up with the first five books in The Song of Ice and Fire series by George R R Martin. So unless GRRM can get his sixth book out before Season 6, next year will be the first season I won't know what to expect.

Recapping the Weekend in Los Angeles for E3 2015

At times it's really hard for me to believe my good fortune. I grew up drooling over E3. As a huge fan of video games E3 is known as a video games fan week long Christmas. It's the show where all the big developers and publishers come out and show off what games that have coming the upcoming holiday season and beyond. I've been fortunate enough to get invited to go the E3 press conferences for the past four years or so. This year we decided to go a little bigger for E3 and actually stay down in Los Angeles for the event.

Movie Review: Jurassic World

Nostalgia is one of the most powerful emotions. There are countless things to be nostalgic about. The city you grow up in. The music you listened to in your youth. The clothes you wore or the movies you watched. Recently Jenn and I went to Disneyland and saw Jurassic World the fourth movie in the Jurassic Park franchise.  And although I didn't expect it, it was a really great trip down memory lane.

Honest Trailers - A Tale of Our Friday Night

At church this past weekend one of the youth pastors made a joke about starting a show on Netflix and then realizing a couple of hours had past let alone a whole day. We've definitely done that with shows like Lost, House of Cards, and Orange is the New Black. On a recent Friday night Jenn and I were watching some trailers on YouTube and a couple of hours later we finished watched our 30th "Honest Trailer".

A Beautiful Sunday at the Temecula Vineyards

Every year for Amy's birthday, Jenn and Ally join her to go to the Temecula wine country for a few days of R&R. Well I never get invited to that and always feel like I'm missing out. So this past weekend I invited myself along with Jenn (who's always invited) Jake and Amy while Ally was in Cancun. We met Jake and Amy down in Temecula after going to the 9AM service of church at Mariners over this past Memorial Day weekend.
