Checking Out Circuit City as it Goes Out of Business

I have to say I have always been a big fan of Circuit City. I would always avoid going to Best Buy in favor of going to Circuit City. The two stores always had the same prices or at least close enough but I always liked shopping at Circuit City a lot more. As we all I would assume are aware of, Circuit City will soon be no more. Today I got an e-mail saying that they had Digital SLR cameras 30% off, so after dropping my car off for an oil change Jenn and I went to go check the deals out. What I found was really quite depressing.

Federer Falls Again to Nadal at the Aussie Open

I am not a big fan of Rafael Nadal at all. In fact I will root for just about anyone on the men's tour besides Nadal. There is just something about him that just really irritates me. It could be his girl pants, but ever since he won his first French I just have never liked him. As many of you know my favorite Tennis player at the moment is James Blake and will be until he retires. I am still rooting for him to win a major! However back to the topic at hand, how does Federer keep loosing to Nadal? This Aussie final with Nadal and Federer reminded me far to much of the Wimbledon final of 2008.

We Invested in a Wii Fit

Since Christmas Jenn and I have been trying to pick up a Wii Fit. After I tried the game at my parents house I was convinced that it would be a good investment. With my new job and with my constant disregard to workout I thought what better to get me to work out then to invest in a video game. Will I continue my daily work out regiment? Who knows, what I do know is that Jenn is seriously into it.

A Long Week Turns to Great Weekend

I started my new job at Southern California Edison at the beginning of December and boy has it been a wild ride ever since. I really enjoy my new job but I got put in part of a project that was already missing key dates and was put on the team to help get back up to speed and finish the project. Well this week marks the definite due date of this project and the last few weeks has been full of some really long hours. This is the second 50+ hour work week which is fine but it means I really have to maximize my weekend and this past weekend I feel like I really did.

Finally Changed to a New Wordpress Theme

I have been using Wordpress for a while now, and I have gone through a lot of changes in design. I actually kept the last one the longest mostly because I just thought it was simple and easy, but it was time for a change. Today I introduced a new theme, and I hope people find it more functional and a little bit more streamline. The new theme is much more simple and to the point and I think going forward it will give me all the flexibility I will need for any sort of posts.

The Inauguration of Barack Obama

In my lifetime I have never seen such anticipation for a political event as the inauguration and address of Barack Obama. I for one did not vote for Obama, nor do I agree with a lot of what he stands for, but I to was eager to see how today was going to go. Having to work today made it a bit more difficult to watch but never the less we were allowed to stream the address to our computers, and that is exactly what I did. I think the whole process of having one president leave and another take office is really intriguing. I mean the fluid transition of power is really remarkable and is always thrilling to watch each and every time it happens.
