Ranking the TV We Watched in 2023
As we’ve done in previous years we’re embarking on the challenge to rank all of the TV shows we watched in the previous year. This year we watched a few more shows and a lot of them were the first seasons which means we have a fresh list to rank. This also might be the list where Jenn and I have the greatest disparity between where we rank shows. It’s going to be a fun list!
2022 A Year in Review: Up, Up and Away
2022 was a year of incredible moments, hard work, and a life that continued to flourish. We began the year in new jobs that started only weeks before the calendar turned to 2022. We were both working from home at the start of the year, the pandemic making an ugly return. Unlike in the previous two years nothing shut down, and outside of increased mask mandates, life went on like normal.

2021 A Year in Review: Post COVID’ish
Last year was such a hard year. No matter how you cut it, coming out of 2020 all you could do is feel like you were fortunate to come out of it with your health and sanity. Unfortunately, it wasn’t like the pandemic decided that with a new President and a change of the calendar year everything would magically disappear. Although not the raging panic that it was in New York City in March of 2020, much of 2021 was still dominated by COVID.
2020 A Year in Review: COVID-19
I feel a tremendous amount of pressure this year to fully capture what it was like to live through 2020. It’s an understatement to say that it was unlike any other year, because how could it be. And so throughout this recap of my 2020, not only do I want to highlight all of the joy, surprise, and growth but I also want to remember what it felt like when the entire world shut down, and we sat at ground zero of a global pandemic. The uncertainty, fear, pain, and the confusion of what the “new normal” would become. And so this recap will be both familiar and also very different from years past.
Jenn's “Not So” Quick Year-in-Review 2020
I’m struggling to find the words to capture this year. It started off so promising, I was killing it in my career, Amy had her first child: Gracie, Joel, and I were settling into the city and truly living a dream NYC life. I remember Dad coming to visit during winter (February) and just having a great time with him, watching him freeze at the dog park, and eating La Salle and Il Buco till our hearts were content. I can still see Joel, Jake, and I walking through Central Park, eating at Rezdora, and laughing during the Book of Mormon. I can feel us booking our bucket list trip to South America. I can recall the exact moment I got my new job offer and how thrilled I was for this new adventure in my career.
