Movie Review: Steve Jobs

When Jenn and I were on the Royal Voyage 2015 the movie Steve Jobs was released. Although critically it was somewhat well received, audiences didn't show up for it. By the time we had gotten back from the trip and recovered the movie was hard to find and we weren't able to see it in theaters. Over the last couple of months I've been eagerly anticipating watching it. So much so that I ended up just buying it on iTunes so I didn't have to wait for the rental.

Movie Review: The Intern

Jenn and I just don’t watch movies as much as we used to when we first started dating. Our preference has changed from movies to television and that’s evident if you keep an eye on my blog. However, every now and again a movie will come along that peaks both of our interest and we either go out and see it or keep it on our radar for when it comes out to rent. The Intern is exactly that. Theater Review: If/Then

In late 2015 Jenn and I went on a shopping spree for theater tickets. It’s something we did a lot of early in our relationship. We spent many Friday and Saturday nights at a theater in the round in Downtown Riverside. The theater is something that the older we get the more we seem to enjoy. We waited for Black Friday and Cyber Monday and purchased season passes at both Segerstrom and South Coast Repertory and also bought tickets for two separate performances outside of the season passes. In total from January to May we have tickets to go see eight performances. Our first was If/Then a musical set in New York at Segerstrom Hall.

TV Review: Jessica Jones Season 1

Nearly six months after the release of Daredevil on Netflix comes Jessica Jones. If you didn’t read my review of Daredevil you should know that it was one of my favorite shows of 2015 and is one I’m eagerly anticipating the release of season two in early 2016. I remember watching the trailers for Jessica Jones over the summer and not being sure whether or not it would live up to the high bar set by Daredevil but I’m happy to report the first 13-episode season of Jessica Jones was phenomenal.
