Movie Review: The Equalizer

Jenn and I have always been a big fan of Denzel Washington movies. He is one of the most enjoyable actors to watch on screen. I remember seeing the first trailer for The Equalizer and thinking wow Denzel is Batman. I would say the first 30 minutes of The Equalizer were its peak. A couple of months after her murder, her ex-boyfriend Adnan Syed was convicted of her murder with only one of his friends (Jay) testimony as evidence.

TV Review: Newsroom Season 3

Jenn and I have never been shy about our love for Aaron Sorkin's Newsroom on HBO. Over the last couple of years when we've sat down and talked about our favorite TV shows, Newsroom has been a staple. When the show was renewed for its third season earlier this year, HBO also announced that it would be the shows last. Newsroom started with one of the most hooking scenes I've ever seen a show start with. Will McAvoy (played by Jeff Daniels) goes off on a five minute monologue about why America isn't the greatest country in the world.
