Watch Out, Three Great TV Shows Return in April
Three of my favorite TV series are returning to the airwaves in April. This comes on the heals of Jenn and I finishing the first season of the masterful House of Cards, so we are pumped and ready for some good TV.
Finished Season 1 of House of Cards
House of Cards is an incredible show. It's a political drama so you would think you've seen it all before, but in reality House of Cards just does it so much better then everyone else. We started watching House of Cards right after the recent Golden Globes when we knew that the hype must be real and we were ready to jump in. Plus its free on Netflix so thats a win win.
Movie Review: Thor: The Dark World
Right before we started watching Thor: The Dark World on Friday night (March 7th) Jenn told me a few times how lame the movie looked. Granted not all super hero movies are Oscar contenders (well none of them are actually) they usually make for an entertaining couple of hours. The original Thor movie is right alongside the best of the individual Marvel super hero movies. The classic "I'll have another" line is still something I say all the time. Unfortunately Thor: The Dark World lived up to all the bombs Jenn was throwing at it.
We Finished Watching the Complete Series of Dexter
I remember when Dexter was released in 2006 and thinking that's a show I'll never watch. The premise is downright revolting, a TV show about a serial killer. Not necessarily Jenn or my cup of tea. I even watched the first episode when Dexter was first on Netflix and remember thinking wow this show really isn't for me.
Movie Review: The Kings of Summer
I've been wanting to see The Kings of Summer since I first saw the trailer almost a year ago. Finally now that its out for rental, we picked it up at Redbox and got to watch it. The basic movie premise has three high school age teenagers who are fed up with life at home embark on an adventure into the woods to start lives on their own.
Movie Review: In a World
I urge you to try and watch In a World and not try and replicate the amazing voice actors who narrate movie trailers. In a World for those who haven't heard of it is a movie about voice actors and the very exclusive club of them who narrate movie trailers. I don't know about you but I absolutely love movie trailers. When Jenn and I go see a movie at the theaters we give an obligatory thumbs up or down depending on our thoughts on the trailer. So needless to say this movie was right up our alley.
