Rating My Most Anticipated Summer Movies
Almost every year I write a post about my most anticipated movies of the summer. 2013 was no different. You can even go back and read my post from then. For the first time though I am going to actually give a thumbs up or down on whether I actually liked the movie or not.
Movie Review: The Spectacular Now
This evening Jake and I got back from seeing The Spectacular Now an indie movie about High School kids falling in love. From the trailers you would have thought that this would have been a typical romantic comedy, but it was far from that. Within ten minutes you have some extremely deep and dark topics that make for a really interesting and engaging movie.
Colbchella 2013 - A Huge Success
A few days ago I posted the first Daily Show clip to ever hit WorldofJoel. Today I am going to break the same barrier but this time with The Colbert Report. A few nights a week Jenn and I sit down with our dinner and watch The Daily Show and if we are in the mood we also catch The Colbert Report.
One of The Best John Oliver Moments on The Daily Show
I cannot believe this is the first Daily Show video I am posting. For the last year or two Jenn and I religiously watch The Daily Show. It has become our go to dinner show. How can you go wrong, political satire, comedy, and a great interview.
My Most Anticipated Movies of Summer 2013
Outside of video games, audiobooks, and TV shows, I'm also a sucker for a great movie. With each summer there seems to be even better movies to get excited about, and the summer of 2013 is no exception.
The Perks of Being a Wallflower - Amazing Movie
It doesn't happen often but every once in a while a movie comes out and shocks you. That was exactly the case with The Perks of Being a Wallflower. I rented it as a simple Redbox pickup for a Friday night where Jenn and I didn't have much going on. When we finished the movie we both knew we had just watched something epic. The movie had an incredible pace, an important message, and the perfect cast. You can relate to the characters, you feel for them, and you care what happens in the end. I loved The Perks of Being a Wallflower and can't wait to watch it again and again.
