TV Review: The Amazing Race 26 (Jenn Wins Again)

We cut the cord around a year ago. This means is that we watch a lot less network TV (CBS, NBC, ABC, FOX) then we used to and watch more of what's on stuff like Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime. One of the things we miss the most about having cable is watching shows like The Amazing Race and Top Chef. Well luckily we were able to get The Amazing Race Season 26 (the latest season). We started from the first episode and everyday during dinner would work our way through the season.

The Olympians (The Team I picked)

The Olympians (The Team I picked)

The last time I wrote about was when Jenn picked the winning team. That was Season 24. As we always do on the first episode of any reality show, we picked which teams we thought were going to win. I picked the Sochi Olympians and Jenn took a couple from So Cal that were on a blind date. In fact half of the teams were dating/married couples (like my team) and the other half were on blind dates (like Jenn's team). It made for an interesting dynamic and surprisingly (or unsurprisingly depending on how you look at it) the blind dates were far more successful then those who were already together before the race began.

After another great season my team came in 4th and Jenn's (surprise surprise) came in first place. It wasn't even really that close. It's sort of insane that Jenn and I have been watching this show together since we we just started dating and almost 12 years later still get just as into it as we used to. Its been a while since I've picked a winner I feel like I'm due. Jenn continues to take care of business when it comes to picking winners of reality shows.
