My Most Anticipated Movies For the Rest of 2015

I've always been a big movie fan. My Junior High and High School years were spent going to the movies. Reading that back it sounds a little depressing but I loved it. I remember collecting movie ticket stubs just so I could remember what movies I had seen. 2015 has been a good year for movies but the latter half of the year are when my most anticipated movies are coming out.

So without further ado here are the movies I'm most excited for, for the rest of 2015. You might want to pop some popcorn there are a total of 23 movies. Which if you figure each trailer is two and a half minutes long makes for roughly an hour worth of trailers. So enjoy!

Sleeping With Other People (September 11th, 2015)

This is probably a movie I'll wait for rental but I love the comedy duo of Jason Sudekis and Alison Brie. I really expect this to be a very funny and easy going comedy.

Sicario (September 18th, 2015)

This is one of the most intense movies on my anticipated lists. But you have to love Josh Brolin and Emily Blunt trying to take down the drug cartels. This looks great.

The Intern (September 25th, 2015)

When I first saw this trailer it felt like it was going to be The Devil Wears Prada with Anne Hathaway taking the lead. But now that I've re-watched the trailer I think this might be one of hte better movies for the rest of 2015. Color me excited for this one.

99 Homes (September 25th, 2015)

I think Andrew Garfield got an unfair shake as Spider-Man. I thought he was great, the movies themselves were the let down. It's alright though here's a movie that looks like it will show off the fact that he's a pretty solid actor. This one looks really interesting.

Stonewall (September 25th, 2015)

This seems like an important movie. As we celebrate the passing of Gay Marriage here in the US, I think this movie helps us remember that there is still a lot of hate in the world and that needs to change.

The Martian (October 2nd, 2015)

There is only one other movie this year that I'm more excited for then The Martian. But let me tell you I'm ridiculously excited for this movie. The Martian was easily one of my favorite books of all time and I cannot wait to see Matt Damon take the lead role in what should be a fantastic movie.

Pan (October 9th, 2015)

I'm really hesitant to put this one down. I've got a bad feeling this will be a big let down. But at least from the trailers I could being swept away to Neverland.

Steve Jobs (October 9th, 2015)

Sadly by the time this movie comes out Jenn and I will be off in Europe about to board a cruise. But I will say that this is one movie I can't wait to come home to see. I'm a big Aaron Sorkin fan from his work on Newsroom, so I can't wait to see what he does with the Steve Jobs movie.

Bridge of Spies (October 16th, 2015)

Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg team up for another movie. Do I really need to say anything else?

The Peanuts Movie (November 6th, 2015)

I really don't have that much love or fondness for The Peanuts game except (and its a big except) I adore their Christmas Special. I've seen a bunch of trailers for this movie and there is something sort of wonderful about it. I really hope it turns out great.

Spectre (November 6th, 2015)

I love Daniel Craig as James Bond. All of the movies have been extremely entertaining and I cannot wait for another Bond. Jenn lets make sure we get some Martini's for this one!

Spotlight (November 6th, 2015)

This is another truly important movie that is star studded with incredible actors. I'm sure this will be both a highly reviewed and highly talked about movie.

Trumbo (November 6th, 2015)

Bryan Cranston looks absolutely fantastic in the movie Trumbo. The trailers make this appear to be quote the incredible movie. I can't wait to see it.

By the Sea (November 13th, 2015)

This might be a movie that comes off my list at some point. The initial trailer is just intriguing enough to make me interested to see what another movie with Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie would be. I sort of get Gone Girl vibes from this one.

The Secret in Their Eyes (November 20th, 2015)

Another intense thriller this time with Julia Roberts at the helm. We haven't seen her in a big movie in a while and something tells me this might be it.

Creed (November 25th, 2015)

This is easily my most anticipated movie of the year. Is anyone really surprised? I've always been a gigantic Rocky fan (easily some of my favorite movies of all time) and I cannot wait to see what Michael Jordan can do taking the lead role. I hope this is better then the first time Rocky tried to coach a boxer (aka Rocky V).

The Good Dinosaur (November 25th, 2015)

Pixar has been on a role and I cannot wait to see if that streak continues with The Good Dinosaur. Did you heart not melt in that trailer? Isn't Pixar the best?

In the Heart of the Sea (December 11th, 2015)

Ron Howard might be one of the best directors around now. Combine him and Thor (Chris Hemsworth) and put them in an epic naval story and it's hard not to get excited.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens (December 18th, 2015)

I have a confession to make. I'm a self-professed nerd and I've never watched the original Star Wars movies (Episode IV, V, VI). I probably should do that. I have seen the trailers for The Force Awakens and it looks fantastic.

Fathers and Daughters (December 18th, 2015)

I'm not sure if this movie will end up coming out in 2015 but I sure hope it does. The trailer nearly brought me to tears and I'm not even a father.

Sisters (December 25th, 2015)

I've read both Tina Fey (Bossypants) and Amy Poehler's (Yes Please) books in the last year or so. So yes I'm fans of both of their work even if I didn't love their books. But from what I've seen of the trailer for Sisters I'm completely bought into this being a big movie.

Concussion (December 25th, 2015)

Probably not the movie you will want to see on Christmas but an incredible important movie. The NFL has for a long time denied the true extent concussions have on their current and past players. We've also already heard that the NFL has attacked Sony on this movie. It will be interesting to see if this brings the conversation back up. Will Smith looks like he's going to knock this one out of the park (sorry for the baseball analogy).

Daddy's Home (December 25th, 2015)

Come on Will Ferrell it's been far too long since we had a great movie from you. I love the trailer for Daddy's Home so hopefully this is the next great Will Ferrell movie.
