Movie Review: Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues

I remember when I first watched the original Anchorman. I really didn't like it at all. And then a year later I watched it again and could not stop laughing. That's a pretty common trend with Will Ferrell movies. I seem to never like the movie at first but the more I watch them the more I appreciate the comic genius. So its probably no surprise that I really didn't care for Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues.

You hear a lot of times people will say that comedies ruin their best moments with trailers, and that's exactly how I felt with Anchorman 2. The movie has some amazing moments sprinkled in-between what really wasn't my favorite comedy. It takes a lot of the funny moments of the original movie and takes them a step further then they ever needed to be. There were a few great moments but I just never felt like the movie had the great one-liners of the original.

I'm not sure this movie is going to get better with age. I'm glad I saw it but I think I will end up sticking with the original as my go-to Will Ferrell movie.
