Movie Review: American Hustle

After coming away pretty disappointed by The Wolf of Wall Street, Jenn and I went into seeing American Hustle with a little trepidation. Luckily within the first ten minutes our fears were gone and we were in for one great movie.

After a great New Years Eve we decided to continue the relaxing end of 2013 into the start of 2014. We laid around the house during the morning and went for a walk at Crystal Cove after lunch. After driving back from Crystal Cove we walked over to Fashion Island to go see American Hustle. Although the movie was quite long (well over two hours) it was so well acted that I never once looked at my watch to see what time it was. The story was engrossing from start to finish and one that we both thoroughly enjoyed.

Is it a movie I'll need to see again? Probably not but the great story along with superb acting made this one of the best movies I've seen in theaters in a long time. I've got a feeling I might have to bet heavy on American Hustle when it comes to Golden Globes and Oscar time.
