2016 Reading Challenge: Completed My Goal of Reading 28 Books
For the last five years I've been continuing to push myself to read more and more. Although my tastes have changed my love for books continues to grow with each year. In 2013 I had a goal of 25 books, 2014 of 26, 2015 of 27, and now in 2016 I completed my goal of reading 28 books with only a couple of days to spare.
Books of 2016
Although in 2016 I slowed down writing reviews of television and movies I didn't stop writing about books. For me writing about books is what it felt like to write about video games when I first started back at 15. I still feel so new and fresh to the medium that I honestly look forward to finishing a book and sitting down to my Macbook and writing about what I just read.
The other change to my reading habits in 2016 was the introduction of GamersRead over the summer. A couple of us from Darkstation decided that we loved to talk about books so we made a podcast where discuss a book each month. Sadly those were some of the worst books I've read all year (some I picked myself) but I'm hoping in 2017 we can buck the trend and start reading some real winners.
