Extraordinary Adventure 2018 Day 11: Will Bike for Food
After two days of relaxation, today we picked back up where we left off with a full schedule. We woke up a little before 8 AM and went down stairs for breakfast at 9 AM. This was our first breakfast at the Gran Melia Fenix and it was pretty good. Jenn went light and just had some eggs, sausage and orange juice. I followed suit with some eggs, deli meats, salami, cheese, and a small churro. We got done with breakfast, grabbed an Uber and were on our way.
Extraordinary Adventure 2018 Day 10: Spanish Love
We've officially reached the half-way point of our trip. Our first two stops are now at a close and I'm now writing this post from Madrid, Spain. But let's start at the beginning. We had a 2PM flight out of Marrakech so we had plenty of time this morning to wake up leisurely and relax while we waited for our ride to the airport.
Extraordinary Adventure 2018 Day 9: Relaxing the Moroccan Way
Not every day is going to be full of tours and excursions. Well most of them will, but not today. Today was our last day in Marrakech and we wanted to take full advantage of the beautiful Four Seasons hotel, and that's exactly what we did. After leisurely waking up a little after 8 AM we went down to breakfast and had our normal omelets, crepes, and other normal breakfast items.
Extraordinary Adventure 2018 Day 8: Flying High
The alarm went off at 5 AM this morning. And I'll be honest I thought to myself for a good few minutes, why am I getting up so early on vacation? I looked outside on our patio and could see nothing but black. But thirty minutes later Jenn and I dragged ourselves to the lobby to our first of two excursions for the day. First up was a hot air balloon ride.
Extraordinary Adventure 2018 Day 7: Time Share Tour
Not every tour is going to be a winner. That's just a fact of life. Today, we went on a pretty rough tour. But we won't start there, because the day started really quite nicely. We woke up leisurely a little after 7 AM and went to have our included breakfast at the hotel a little after 8 AM. The Four Seasons has a really nice spread of normal breakfast items (eggs, bread, omelet station, etc.) and so we enjoyed it quite a bit. I started with a cappuccino and had an omelet with some cheese, meats, and some other Moroccan dishes. Jenn had eggs, sausage, potatoes, and pancakes.
Extraordinary Adventure 2018 Day 6: Sliding into Marrakech
We've reached the first travel day of our nearly three-week-long journey. This morning we were up only a few hours after we arrived back to our hotel last night to go to Linate airport to fly to Marrakech, Morocco. We left our hotel a little before 6 AM and made the fifteen-minute drive via a taxi to the airport.
