Ranking The TV We Watched in 2017

What an absolute treasure of a year for television. I struggled so badly to put this list together. And after talking with Jenn about her list we both really struggled with the top ten area of the list. What I found so interesting about this year's list is how many of our favorites dropped to the bottom of our list. I'm looking at you Veep, Silicon Valley, Orange is the New Black and Red Oaks. Luckily there were so many amazing new shows this year like The Handmaid's Tale, Big Little Lies, and Sneaky Pete.

Unbelievable Sunday - Federer Defies Age and Winter is Here

Most of the time when I write posts like this its because Jenn and I have gone out for brunch, or to a wine festival, or something out of our norm. But this past Sunday (July 16th) was actually a pretty average Sunday. It wasn't a particularly pretty day in Newport, nor was there anything major planned for the day. Oscars 2017: Joel Takes A Close Victory

Like we've done for at least the last ten years, Jenn and I had our annual Oscar party where we print out a ballot and gather around the TV for four hours to watch The Academy Awards. My Current Favorite Podcasts - 2017 Edition

Although I spend most of my commute listening to audiobooks, I end up spending the majority of my morning runs listening to podcasts. Over the years I’ve gone through a fair share of podcasts so I thought it would be fun to capture what podcasts I’m listening to now and how that changes over the years. The last time I wrote about podcast (that I wasn’t involved in) was in 2014. Some of those podcasts I’m still listening to while others I’ve fallen off of and moved on to other things.

Ranking The TV We Watched in 2016

Last year Jenn and I started a new annual tradition to write up and rank our favorite shows of the year. It began with 18 shows last year and ballooned out a little this year to 24 for me and 21 for Jenn. This list does not include the multitude of political shows we watch (Last Week Tonight, The Daily Show, Real Time with Bill Maher, and Full Frontal) or reality shows (The Amazing Race and Top Chef). This list only includes scripted shows where we completed at least a season in the year.
