Hit My Goal of Reading 25 Books in 2013

In 2012 I joined an incredible service called Goodreads. Its a service that helps you track what you've read, want to read, and are currently reading. They also have personal goal tracking on the site that tracks how many books you want to challenge yourself to read every year. In 2012 my goal was 20 books and I hit 28. A lot of that had to do with commuting with Jenn to Rosemead. In 2013 I set a goal of 25 and wouldn't you know it I hit my goal with only twelve days to spare.  Here are the 25 books I read in 2013 in order of how I read them.

After I get done reading a book the first thing I do is go to Goodreads and mark it complete and give it a rating out of 5 stars. This year was probably my lowest number of 5 Star reads. I tried to mix up genres from non fiction to fiction and read new authors. Out of 25 books I gave three books 5 stars. Those books were The Name of the Wind and The Wise Man's Fear by Patrick Rothfuss as well as Dad is Fat by Jim Gaffigan.

The 25 books comes out to a little over 11k pages (11056 to be exact) which is just a 1K less then last year. After giving it a lot of thought my plan is to up my goal in 2014 by one book and go for 26 and then maybe each consecutive year up that goal by one, at least until Jenn and I have kids, then that might not be possible.
