So I was surfing the web earlier this morning and I saw this video of the show Carpoolers on ABC that is going to premiere here in a few weeks. I watch this video and it makes me think, could this be something like The Office that is true to life, and just makes fun of it self? I own the domain CarpoolersTV.com, and I have been debating whether or not to sink any time into the show with a blog, or just let it go. The show has such a high probability of flopping but then again could be big! Any thoughts? Also I picked this video because it is actually Jenn and my song, we love it, we love Phil Collins, and we have jammed out to the drum solo on several occasions. Will Carpoolers be a big show? I don’t know, but this is a great promo video!

So as you know I am trying to hit a pretty heavy market of TV Blogs, but what my goal is, is to bring a big enough fan base to some of the new shows to really market a whole network of TV Blogs. One of my higher grossing websites is BionicWomanTV.com, the website based on the new show Bionic Woman which begins airing this Fall. BionicWomanTV.com is a great little site, mainly because there is so much buzz around the show. With Isaiah Washington joining the cast, the show being a remake of what is considered somewhat of a cult classic, and some high flying trailers from NBC, I think this site may have as much potential as any to take off.

You know what my biggest problem is when it comes to web development? I get so into my sites for a good month or so, I plan them out, I have gerat ideas, and then for some reason or another I end up slowly losing interest in the sites and move onto a new idea. The only reason I seem to stick with sites is if they begin to perform well, something that many of my TV Sites are. However I have found over the past week that I am battling the temptation of moving myself to other projects especially with all the back work I have put into creating this network of TV sites. The only regret I have about this network is not implementing more into the sites then I have. I think I get to a point of content and then feel like that is good enough and to be honest I realize that in this highly competitive society, being satisfied with mediocrity will never cut it. So if you start making you way around the network of TV Sites you will notice some interesting changes with the inclusion of message boards, polls, wallpapers, and more. I am hoping that Google remains friendly to my sites and come September when these shows begin I will have some serious momentum going through the entire season. I am continually reminding myself that these are good ideas, and now I just have to go do them. Anyways keep an eye out on all the sites as it should be a full network wide update throughout the week.

So in an ongoing effort to get everyone familiar with my network of TV Blogs I am showing off todays blog HeroesInsider.net! This blog in my opinion has by far the best design I have customized, it seems to flow pretty well and manages to really give a good Heroes feel. In general I have to say that I am finding a lot of success with this blog mainly from a few e-mails I have received. It is probably the most well received blog on my network right now and should have two writers at the beginning of Season 2. As always any suggestions or comments on this blog would be great, I am always looking to improve the sites!

I know I am a little late on this one, but it was officially announced yesterday that Drew Carey will be taking the role of host on the Price is Right. I am a huge fan of the show, I remember spending countless summer mornings watching The Price is Right and just hearing those key words “Common Down Your The Next Contestant on the Price is Right”. Bob Barker really redifined the role of a game host, and showed that you don’t need the million dollar prizes to bring in the audience as The Price is Right always seemed true to itself. So how will Drew Carey do as the host? I personally love the choice, much stronger then the ever controversial Rosie which would have been interesting but nevertheless no where near as true to the Price is Right show. Hopefully Drew Carey can keep the franchise alive for many more years to come.

So sporadically I am going to make posts about my various TV Blogs that I began developing over a month ago. In the first part on this post sequence I would like to take the second opportunity to introduce OfficeTVBlog.com my blog for The Office on NBC. So far the blog is bringing in about 50+ page views a day which isn’t fantastic, but its growing thats for sure. One of the more popular portions of the website are the several Youtube video links which seem to be bringing in the greatest amount of traffic and response. Please check out the site, I edited a pre-made theme for Wordpress and have really been tweaking it to the best of my ability. Any suggestions are always appreciated. So there you go your introduction to the Office TV Blog!

So as many of you have been reading over the weeks, I have been working on a big new project, and lets just say it has grown since the conception. It all began back in April when the TV series were beginning to hit there stride down the home stretch and I realized something I really enjoy watching TV. Why don’t I make a few fan sites for the shows I love. So that was just the beginning of what then turned into a much bigger project. I started out with just two sites OfficeTVBlog.com and HeroesInsider.net both shows that are moving forward with there viewers and two shows that I particularly love watching. I noticed right away within the first couple of days that I was generating traffic and some some ad revenue. So then came the announcement of the new Fall TV Shows for 2007 and I realized I should be buying domains right as they are announced and creating a network of fan sites, and thus the project we have today a compilation (just the beginning) of TV fan sites that all include News, Episode Reviews, Interviews, Wallpapers, Quotes and More. Want to check out what I have been working on? Here is a list of the fan sites currently completed or nearing completion:

OfficeTVBlog.com: Fan Site for The Office on NBC
HeroesInsider.net: Fan Site for Heroes on NBC
JerichoBlog.net: Fan Site for Jericho the recently saved show on CBS
FNLBlog.com: Fan Site for Friday Night Lights on NBC
PushingDaisies.org: Fan Site for New Show Pushing Daisies This Fall on ABC (Best Domain I Got)
ChuckTVBlog.com: Fan Site for New Show Chuck This Fall on NBC
BionicWomanTV.com: Fan Site for New Show Bionic Woman This Fall on NBC

I have so many more that are in the process that I will continually be updating here at WorldofJoel announcing the expansion of the network. In fact for those who think this seems somewhat disorganized, I agree and I actually have a grand scheme that I hope to have completed by this Fall season, but it is rather complex and is taking a lot of hours, so only time will tell. However any feedback on the sites, designs, content ideas, interested in writing for any of them, let me know! Thanks for reading everyone and the continued support!

Jericho Is Back

According to TV Guide: ” Multiple sources are telling me that CBS is thisclose to sealing a deal to bring Jericho back for at least eight episodes, possibly at mid-season.

My spies caution that this is in no way official, but it certainly sounds like it could be by day’s end. It’s now just a matter of signing the actors to new deals and, according to one insider, finding a new soundstage to house the show’s sets.

To say this would be a huge victory for crazy TV fans everywhere would be the understatement of the frakkin’ millennium.”

Finally the hard work, determination of the Jericho fans have paid off, lets get Jericho back on!

I will admit to being a fan of Extreme Makeover Home Edition, mainly because they are always such feel good stories. One of the best parts of the show is the overly charismatic Ty Pennington originally from the TLC show Trading Spaces. Most of you know of Ty, and I always thought of him as being a pretty good guy. Well I don’t know if this is old news or not, but the man got a DUI and has been sentenced to 36 months of probation. I have to admit that I am really tired of hearing about all of these rich and famous actors, athletes, and musicians breaking the law. I get it, we all make mistakes, that is understandable, heck we all fall short of being perfect. But it seems like to many of these celebs believe they are above the law, and its a shame that a such a good guy image that Ty has always carried has to be tainted by a DUI charge. Well we can just pray that he can get that worked out.

I could just make one long winded recap of tonights season final and final chapter of Volume 1 of Heroes, but I am sure most of you who are reading this post have watched it or still want to watch it. And if you have missed the Heroes bandwagon go buy the first season DVD in a couple months and get yourself caught up. Anyways tonight’s final episode concluded the storyline behind “Save the Cheerleader, Save the World”. What I find most impressive about this show is that it had the potential to be extremely “cheap”, or for lack of better ways of saying it, bad. It took me a few episodes to get into this show, but when you get into the complexity that Heroes has, it truly is one of the most original shows on television. Tonights finale although at times a little long winded (then again what finale isn’t) has an extremely thrilling and puzzling ending that sets us up perfectly for Volume 2 next year. I just want to thank NBC for giving this show a chance, and housing some of the most engaging shows on TV. Good work Heroes, can’t wait for next season!
