I have a feeling most of you have already seen this, and if this has gone around and I just missed it, well then please ignore this. My cousin Brandon yesterday at Thanksgiving showed me this video and it had me cracking up big time. It is Peyton Manning doing a spoof commercial for the United Way. Enjoy it.

So I really felt pretty good about my Fantasy Football team this year. I had three great running backs, a good QB, and some decent WR’s. Well I am finding out very quick that my three decent WR’s are amounting to nothing and really bringing back my team. I not only am 0-4 this season, but I am also the lowest scoring team and now am just desperate for a win. You know who really has disappointed me this year, The Saints. I picked up Colston as my stud receiver and he hasn’t amounted to anything. The other guy who has been hit or miss is McNabb who had a great week two weeks ago but did nothing this past week. Vernon Davis the TE for the Niners is hurt, again, and so I am left with a bad TE as well.

My first pick, Frank Gore has been decent but then again not worth a first round pick either. I don’t know if things will ever turn around for my team!

It is not very often I can sit down and watch an entire 49er football game. I have been a fan since Steve Young joined the team, and I was probably five years old. Unfortunately with a busy schedule, and having to study on countless Sunday’s, watching my 49ers is never an easy task. Plus the networks never seem to pick up there games, and we are stuck watching the terrible Raiders play. However I digress because last night I watched one of the sloppiest football games this first week, at times it was even hard to watch. But when you saw Alex Smith drive the team down the field in a two minute drill and score the game winning touchdown that was shear bliss. I have been a fan of Alex Smith since he came to the team, I saw him live in preseason last year taking on the Chargers and the guy seems to really be comfortable as the leader of the team, and hopefully he can bring us back into the playoffs this year! Now we just need to clean up about every area of the game, work on getting the ball down field, and just stop with the screen passes, thirty in a game (made up the number) is just to many!

I know I am, the countdown to the regular season is always a big deal for me. Each year I grow more and more excited for the upcoming football season, and I am hoping this year I can schedule my time more adequately to be able to sit down and enjoy a few 49ers game, like for example this Monday Night. However tonight is the start of the regular season, I will not only be watching for my fantasy team, but also because the matchup of the Colts and Saints is just to hard to pass up. So if you didn’t know already, tune in tonight for the start of another great year of football!

So tomorrow is my big Fantasy Football draft, and I will be posting up my final team tomorrow to let you all know what sort of big sleeper picks and winners I pick for the year. I love Fantasy Football and have been in a league at my Dad’s Work for at least six or seven years, playing on Yahoo before that. I have never won, I usually end close to the top but I feel good about this year. I am picking #6 this year, with ten players, which means I am right in the middle of the pack. I am looking at a few different players at the spot and if they are available it will be in this order: Frank Gore, Sean Alexander, Joseph Addai. I will probably take another Running Back on the way back around and then a Quarterback on the way back. That is the way the Fantasy Pro’s say to do it! So that will be taking place tomorrow at 9am Pacific, which means since I am in Maui I will be waking up at about 5:30am to make sure I am ready for the draft. Wish me luck, I am going to need it!

I know this isn’t going to be the most popular post on my blog, in fact many of you probably wonder why I am continually putting up posts on Tennis, what can I say I am a fan. Well I have today off, and this is actually Day 2 of the tournament and so far so good. What I love about the US Open are the night matches, there is nothing like the New York Crowds at night with a few beers in them. Tonight we have Roddick and Sharapova which should be good, but I am wanting to see Blake at a night match, but I am sure if he makes it a match or two in, that will be the case. Speaking of James Blake, has anyone read his book? I have it on my list of things I need to buy, the book is Breaking Back and is close to the top of the Best Sellers List, which is awesome for the Harvard Grad.

So who am I picking to win the tournament? Well that is a tough question, I am hoping for Blake to make a run on the mens side of things but here are my picks.

Mens: Roger Federer: Can you really pick anyone else?
Women: Serena Williams: She looked like she was playing well last night, and if she gets on a roll, no one will beat her.

So I just got done listening to the apology from Michael Vick former Quarterback of the Atlanta Falcons and I have to say for a planned speech that was just horrendous. If you haven’t heard yet, which I would be shocked if you haven’t, the man has been accused of some pretty terrible things, among others dog fighting. I am not going to get into the legality of the issue but just looking at the apology he gave to the media after pleading guilty boggles me. First off I think it should be a rule of thumb never to talk about yourself in the third person. That makes it seem like your better then everyone else, and your the one that is being convicted so thats not good. Being a Christian it is hard for me to comment on him finding Jesus, which if its true that is awesome, God Bless him then, but to me that is not something that needed publicly announcing after pleading guilty. Finally I am just so sick of hearing athletes make themselves out to be more then they are, he said he was a role model for kids, and I think any parent with some common sense would shy away from letting there kids look up to him, and him putting himself at that self proclaimed level was ridiculous.

All in all I can’t say his apology was that sincere, but then again how could it be? Would there be anything that Michael Vick could say that people would actually feel as genuine? In my opinion no.

Starting off this week I couldn’t help myself but to talk about the recent win for Tiger Woods. It’s not very often that a man can dominate a sport for as long and has classy as how Tiger has. This weekend was no exception, although I missed watching him shoot his 63 on Friday, I did get to see him battle the elements and the competition on Sunday. Coming down the back nine I was nervous for him, but man the guys knows how to deal with pressure. It seemed like immediately after he boggied on 14 he knew he had to step it up a notch and he did right away with a birdie on the 15th. It has been shown that Tiger draws the ratings for the PGA and its because of the excitement he brings to the golf course. The man is cool under pressure and even when most of us would get tight, he pushed through to win his second straight PGA Championship, it was quite the tournament to watch.

I have to say that growing up I have always loved watching the Championships at Wimbledon, and it has never disappointed. However each year watching the tournament it is a struggle with the rain which always plays a big role in the tournament. When I was in London last year I went down to Wimbledon to check it out a week after the championships completed and the weather for the most part was without rain. Maybe its just bad luck? I don’t know. What I do know is that from what I have watched this year the tournament has not disappointed. It is just to bad that the tournament couldn’t get those covered courts sooner, that way we could get even more great tennis action.
