Book Review: Cometh the Hour

There's something to be said for consistency. Although Jeffrey Archer has written some truly amazing novels over the years, the longer the Clifton Chronicles goes the more familiar his tropes become. Cometh the Hour is the sixth (out of seven planned) book in the series, a series in my opinion which feels like its overstayed its welcome. However unlike the last two novels which had some truly outlandish set pieces, Cometh the Hour felt more like a return to form.

Book Review: Mightier Than the Sword

I'm so conflicted on Mightier Than the Sword. After loving the first two novels in the Clifton Chronicles I felt there was a major drop off in books three and four. To keep things as simple as possible I didn't understand why this was such a long series. Harry and Emma have always been the draw for me into these novels and as the cast expanded and contracted I just began to lose interest. However since I'm already four books invested I felt like I had to continue my trek into this series.

Book Review: Paths of Glory

Have you ever heard the name George Mallory? Maybe you have if your big into mountain climbing, but my guess is most of you haven't heard of him. Well I know before listening to Paths of Glory I had never heard the name, and now that I have read the book I would love to know more. The basic premise of Paths of Glory is a novel based on a true story about George Mallory an English climber who made a few attempts at climbing Everest and it is unknown if he ever reached the summit.
