So a lot of the big Fall TV Premier’s have already hit the tube, and the rest are coming next week so I figured I better give everyone a rundown on my grades for my favorite series first shows of this new season, and here they are:
Amazing Race: B
Good Teams, Interesting Locations, No Hippies.
Deal or No Deal: A-
A ton of money up for grabs, plus Howie getting even better at hosting.
Jericho: B+
Interesting new show definitely has promise.
The Office: C-
What is going on? Jim is gone to a new branch? Pam is no longer engaged? Joel not happy! Let’s hope for a turn for the better.
Grey’s Anatomy: B
The show ended with some amazing cliffhangers none of which seemed to be overly addressed. Still a good first episode back.
Still Waiting for: Gilmore Girls & Heroes.
As you can see I am still a bit bored in Race and Racism and so I thought I would post the trailer for The Office Season 3 which begins tonight at 8:30pm Pacific on NBC. I know Jenn and I will be watching, will you?
The alarm sounded at 6:00am this morning waking me up for my first day of school which I am actually sitting in my second class (Race and Racism) as I write this watching The Color of Fear a movie I have already seen a year or two ago in my Ethnic Studies class. The movie is just a roundtable discussion of eight older men arguing about racism. I already got through Calculus which was an intense first class. Anyways this is going to be a long 90 minute flick. My only hope is that today goes quick as 8-6 is just a long daym especially when there is no break! God Bless You All!
Update #1(11:10am Pacific): I have deicided to leave class early as it seems pointless to watch the same movie over again, plus I am hungry. Hopefully Jenn gets out soon so we can grab a bite to eat! We shall see, more updates later!
Update #2 (2:00pm Pacific): So I am now in Perspectives on Gender which is right after my Noon class of Business Law. Jenn ended up showing up a bit early so we got to split a Pizza, which hit the spot. Business Law seems interesting, but it has participation which is not my favorite. The topics sound good and the course load seems to be really intense. So onto Perspectives on Gender which seems like interesting ideas, but the class is of course Perspectives on Gender, enough said?
Well today officially marks the final day of summer for Jenn and I. Today was somewhat a day of mourning as Jenn and I kiss the laid back days of summer away, and move forward to the stress filled anxiety ridden college life. Sure there are some upsides (just can’t think of any right now), but going back to school just feels like its getting even closer to what most people call “real life”. Well here goes nothing!!!

This is one of those things that I am not sure what to feel. In one way I am happy that we are preaching the good news of Jesus Christ to our youth, but is this movie to extreme? I don’t know, but you can judge by watching the trailer below! Seems like a different movie, I look forward to watching it. It has been added to my Netflix Queue.

Tonight I was reading my bible and I came across this verse in which spoke to my heart:
“For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. “ 2 Corinthians 4: 17-18
My prayers go out to all those affected by the September 11th attacks five years ago. God Bless You All!
Yesterday I was lucky enough to be able to watch a double header of movies which included United 93 and Akeelah in Bee. Both of these movies were really quite good in their own right, but something stood out to me in a big way in the movie Akeelah and the Bee. This movie was about a young girl from LA who was going for the National Spelling Bee. Well anyways there was a quote in the movie that was told to the main character and I really liked it. And if you get a chance you should really rent this movie. Anyways here is the quote:
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, ‘Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?’ Actually, who are you not to be?”
I am in one of those moods lately that I have huge aspirations for this website and for myself in general but the time to do any of this is so limited. Have you ever noticed in life that you usually want to do more when you don’t have the time to do it?
Anyways moving on just a little update, I am working all week this week, so having an update this week will be doubtful. Plus of course what happens on September 7th?
“Are you ready for some football?” Enough Said!
For those wondering, what is Joel Szerlip up to? Well most of you probably know I spend most of my days with my beautiful young lady Jenn, who has been the biggest blessing of my life. She has made my life amazing, and continues to amaze me even after three years of dating! What is it Jenn like three years tell we get married? I am counting down the days!
And finally I will leave you with this verse from 1 John 1:5 in the New Living Translation.
This is the message he has given us to announce to you: God is light and there is no darkness in him at all. 1 John 1:5
God Bless You All!!
